The short version
- • 22% of annual plans paid in full, 25% of Harvesteader monthly payments (up to 6 cycles), 20% of other monthly plans, +5 points on a Sell add-on line. Net cash received, sales tax excluded.
- • 30-day hold, then payable. Refunds, disputes or cancellations inside 90 days are clawed back. Payouts go out at a $50 minimum balance.
- • Refunds and chargebacks reverse the commission.
- • Your closer: annual signups through your link get a 13th month free.
- • Represent Harvestead honestly, and don't disparage or misrepresent us: ever.
Full terms
1. Commission
Harvestead pays commission on each payment actually received from a member you refer, on this schedule: 25% of Harvesteader monthly payments, 22% of an annual plan paid in full (calculated on the full annual payment), and 20% of other monthly plans. When a Sell add-on is billed on the same account, an additional 5 percentage points is paid on the add-on portion of that payment only. Monthly plans earn commission for up to 6 billing cycles per referred member; annual plans earn on up to 3 annual payments per member. Commission is calculated on net revenue actually received (after discounts and refunds, and excluding sales tax and payment processing) and only on payments that clear. Worked examples are published at harvestead.com/affiliate-commission and are illustrative only. Harvestead may change the rate schedule prospectively with 30 days' written notice.
2. Attribution
A referral is credited when the member arrives through your unique partner link and creates an account. Self-referrals, referrals of existing members, and referrals of accounts you control are not eligible.
3. Hold period and payouts
Commission is recorded as pending and becomes payable 30 days after the payment clears. Payouts are issued once your approved balance reaches $50, by the payment method you select below. If a payment is refunded or disputed, or the member cancels, within 90 days of that payment, the commission on it is reversed, including commission that already cleared the 30-day hold. Reversed amounts already paid to you are netted against your next payout or invoiced if no future payout is expected.
4. Refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations
If a payment is refunded, disputed, or reversed, the related commission is reversed and netted against your future earnings. If you have already been paid on a reversed payment, the amount is deducted from your next payout.
5. Your member offer
Members who sign up through your link on an annual plan receive a 13th month free before their next annual payment. You may promote this offer as written; you may not invent additional discounts, guarantees, or bonuses.
6. Reward ladder
On top of commission, Harvestead runs a milestone reward ladder measured in revenue credits, not headcount, because a monthly signup and an annual Harvesteader close are not the same result for the business. Each qualified member earns credits from the plan on its first qualified payment: 3 credits for any annual plan paid in full (4 with the Sell add-on), 2 credits for Harvesteader monthly (3 with the Sell add-on), and 1 credit for other entry-level monthly plans. Upgrades and a later add-on add the difference in credits once they clear the hold; renewals earn commission, not additional credits, and each member scores once for life. The ladder: 5 credits earn a welcome kit (stickers and seed packet), 20 earns a $25 bonus, 40 earns a Harvestead t-shirt, 80 earns a $150 bonus plus a 30% commission floor going forward, 150 earns a $350 bonus plus a market kit, and 300 earns a $750 bonus, a 35% commission floor going forward, a featured partner profile, and a comped annual account. Commission floors are quoted on the monthly Harvesteader schedule and are scaled proportionally on other schedules (for example, a 30% monthly floor applies as roughly 26% on an annual payment). A member is 'qualified' only after its first payment clears the 30-day hold without refund, dispute, or cancellation inside the 90-day clawback window. Cash bonuses are paid in the next payout run under the same hold, clawback, and $50 minimum rules. Rate increases apply only to payments received after the tier is reached and do not re-price prior sales. Merch ships once to a verified US address you provide. Cash bonuses and the fair market value of merch are reportable income and count toward your annual tax reporting. Rewards not yet fulfilled are forfeited if your credits fall below the tier after clawbacks, or if this agreement ends for cause. Harvestead may adjust future tiers with 30 days' notice; tiers you have already reached are not reduced.
7. Honest marketing and disclosure
You will describe Harvestead accurately and will not use spam, misleading claims, or misleading ads. As required by the FTC Endorsement Guides, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship anywhere you share your link: in the post itself (not only in a bio, hashtag, or link-in-bio page), before the link, and in plain language such as 'affiliate link. I earn a commission.' You will not make income, earnings, yield, or crop-result claims, and will not promise results Harvestead does not deliver. Coupon, deal, and cashback sites, unauthorized discount codes, cookie-stuffing, incentivized signups, and bidding on Harvestead brand terms or misspellings in paid search or shopping ads are prohibited and void the referrals they produce.
8. Your role
You are an independent affiliate, not an employee, agent, partner, or spokesperson of Harvestead. You will not represent yourself as staff or ownership, will not speak on Harvestead's behalf, and will not sign anything or make commitments in Harvestead's name.
9. Non-disparagement
Before, during, and after your affiliation, you will not disparage, defame, or make misleading or damaging statements about Harvestead, its founder, its team, its members, or its products. Publicly or privately, including on social media, in reviews, in press, or in group chats. You will also not misrepresent your role or relationship with Harvestead at any time. Good-faith private feedback to Harvestead, truthful statements required by law, and lawful protected speech are not restricted.
10. Privacy and data
You will not scrape, export, or resell Harvestead member data, and you will not contact members on Harvestead's behalf. You are responsible for complying with applicable disclosure rules (for example FTC affiliate disclosure) in your content.
11. Termination
Either side may end this agreement at any time in writing. Harvestead may also terminate this agreement and your affiliate status at any time, for any reason, with or without cause, in our sole discretion. Upon termination, your partner links will stop tracking new referrals, any pending commission may be withheld or forfeited, and any unfulfilled milestone rewards will be forfeited. Harvestead may withhold commission on referrals tied to fraud, misrepresentation, or a breach of these terms. Sections 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Brand, trademark, and content use
Harvestead grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Harvestead name, logo, and marketing assets we provide, solely to promote Harvestead during your affiliation and only in unmodified form. You will not register or use domains, subdomains, social handles, app names, business names, or email addresses containing 'Harvestead' or a confusingly similar variation; will not imply you are Harvestead, its staff, or an official channel; and will not run ads that appear to originate from Harvestead. All goodwill in the marks belongs to Harvestead. On termination you will stop using the marks and remove or clearly de-brand affiliate content within 10 business days upon request.
13. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes on commission you receive. Harvestead may require a W-9 or equivalent tax form before issuing payouts.
